I have eight jubilee orpington roosters, I want to keep four and sell the others. Six are darker colored and two are lighter colored. Is it better to have a dark jubilee rooster or a light one?

Best,As I understand it the Jubilee Orpington should have basically the same color as the Speckled Sussex. Tho in profile, neither breed should look like the other . Speckled Sussex should be deep mahogany bay ground color. If it were me, I would keep the darker birds. Make sure tho, that the darker color is truly because of a darker mahogany bay and not because the birds are carrying melanizing genes which make the brown feathers look "burned" by black color.
