So we ordered from Mt Healthy in April and the chicks are about 7 weeks old give or take I think. We ordered: buff Orpington, black australorp, Barnevelder, Easter egger and silver laced Wyandotte. So five in total and we received six. The chick I thought was the barnevelder turned out to be the Easter egger and visa versa. Now I have two that look similar and am unsure which is the silver laced Wyandotte and what the other one is if it’s not the same breed. Also I think they’re all pullers but one of the potential SL wayandottes might be a cockerel. I can’t tell. Thoughts? The photo with the one silver/black one alone near the feeder is the one I’m unsure if it’s pullet or cockerel. I think this is the mystery chick we received but I’m not so sure.

I see two wyandottes there, so I think your mystery chick is another wyandotte. Both look like pullets.

that’s what I was wondering. I just wasn’t sure because one has a lot more black than the other. For some reason I thought they’d be closer in coloration.

Hatchery wyandottes vary in color/pattern. Of my 5, none look the same. A few are almost all black with thin white streaks in their feathers, but I also have ones with actual lacing.
