Your first hen could be either BR or Cuckoo Marans or Dominique over a bearded breed, not just BR. I've been hatching BR/BBS Ameraucana chicks lately. Yours does have a beard. I sent Cuban Longtails eggs way back when, some BR over blue Ameraucana, which is probably the one she was talking about.

I will try and get a better pic of Ms. Puff,, she really has a BIG beard and muff,, she looks funny head on.

Well I guess I'll get that pic tomorrow after school, she's a NM tree chicken and she's roosting about 15 feet up right now.

Goodness! I've never had one chicken fly into a tree. Had one fly on top of the coop once, though.

Some night I will get a large flashlight and take a picture from the ground looking up at all the chicken butts in the tree. Right now Fluff, Puff, White Boy, Goody Two Shoes, McSneaky Studly, LaRoo, and Little Foot are all on the same limb about 15 ft. up. 3 roos and 3 hens, all sharing, it's pretty neat.
