BYC Café

I am so over the frigid cold and wind. A possible high of 27° next week sounds lovely!

When I take Freya out first thing in the morning, I unlock the front door. We go in and out the mudroom door, and every now and then, it locks itself. Or maybe I unconsciously lock it, but after the first time it happened, I paid more attention. So maybe it does it, maybe I do it. At these temps, I do not want to be locked out of my house.

About ten years ago, we had a cold snap. There was a story on the news about a woman who went to get the mail without a coat and accidentally locked herself out. She broke a window to try to get back in, cut her arm badly, and bled to death on her front porch.

We have a spare key hidden outside, but I don't want to have to go get it. Unlocking the front door is a faster solution if I'm out walking the dog.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
Not cold or hot here, high of 40F with a chance of flurries tonight.
Sunny with a slight breeze.
My seeds came in! Just a few new ones for the carrots, peas, beans, and a new try for some purple broccoli, small squash, and a new leafy cabbage.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

Good Morning,

Coffee just made, too hot to drink and I am very cold. Reading about how cold over there make me feel cold to the bone. Last night suddenly the weather changed from hot to cold and all my join bones started to ache...oh, I will suffer big time when our winter comes around. Our autumn starts on March.

This morning I must decide to whether put an end to my hen Mint's suffering at the Vet or I will do the deed myself first time.

Keep warm, stay safe and have a lovely day
