Now i have 3 chickens and 1 off them comes as close as possible and it doesnt take effort to pick her up and then the other 2 its effort to pick them up and they just run off and i have too run after them!
The question is:
Which one is normal for a chicken? A. To come close to a person and pecks them.
B. To run off and take effort to put to bed.

Well, since chickens are basically prey animals it is only natural for them to run away from and distrust you if you chase them. It's how they elude predators. Gain their trust with treats and feed.

Chickens have personalities, weather they will come to you or run has many factors. Most of mine will come to me and want to be held, but that is how I raised them. I held them pretty much every day since they were chicks and they recognize me as their moma. This can have some drawbacks, I have one that pesters me till I hold her, then the rest of them want to be held too. I can't get any work done.

I have 16 ladies and they are all different in that aspect. I raised them all from chicks, holding each one of them everyday so that they wouldn't be scared of me. About 4 or 5 of them will follow me around wanting to be held. The rest of them are fine with being held but don't necessarily "want" to be held. And a couple of them, one in particular, wont come near me! She is scared of everything, wont even eat out of my hand! I've even tried holding her with all sorts of treats just for her and she wont even try them! O well, I guess I just have to let her do her own thing!

Now ive got another question,
I did buy them when they were about 18 Weeks old and the question is:

How do you get a chicken to not be scared of you?
