I am trying to get a young green cheek conure. The breeder sold the one I want so now there are only two left a yellow sided and a cinnamon. I don't really have a preference for the colors but I can't decide which one to get and I don't have enough to get both. The yellow sided is pretty shy and doesn't interact with people just sits and watches, she is also missing a few feathers and doesn't look her best. The cinnamon however was extremely interactive, waving, dancing, and letting you give belly rubs, her feathers were perfect. The breeder said she is the next best besides the one that has already been sold. My question is which one would be better? I really like the cinnamon as I want a bird to interact with but I feel bad for the yellow sided and can't decide.

Personally I'd go with the friendly one. It sounds like the yellow sided is going to need more work, which is fine if that's what you want and if you're experienced with parrots, but it sounds like she might have some behavioral issues such as plucking. If this is your first bird I'd definitely go with the cinnamon since you may not have the proper experience to work with the yellow sided. If you already have parrot experience and are willing to put in the time and understand that the bird may never really be outgoing and are okay with this, then you could go with the yellow sided if you'd like.

The yellow sided may be sick so I would go with the cinniomon one and don't feel bad for the yellow sided one because the currant owner will take care of her and if she is sick she will hopefully give her supplements and you half to think about your stock but in the end it's your choise

Thank you so much! This would be my first parrot. I have expirence with chickens, pheasants, and other fowl but not parrots. I believe I am going for the cinnamon because of her personality.

That's a good choice. For your first parrot it's not a good idea to take on a bird with issues that will need work. Post pictures of your new family member!
