Which is better, the BYC app or the website?

I use the website now but am considering getting the app.
Is it worth it?

I went to the App Store and the review that it showed said the ads get really annoying.

The app is horrible, imo. It is very hard to use, slow and yes the ads are even more obnoxious there than they are here.
