Which ones to raise?

I'm thinking of sticking w/the CX and doing 2 batches. I'm going to get the 1st batch by april 1st and then the second batch between Aug 15th and Sept 1. I'm going to avoid them being at their largest when the extreme is here.

Last year I got a batch on Aug 5th, and only had a heat lamp on them for a few days because it was so warm. By the time the second is ready to process, the weather is very cooperative. My late batch always outperformes the early batch due to the cooler weather.
Where about in Ohio are you at?
Do you use a tractor or in a pen?
