Which Paint Brand Worked For You?????

Yeah, that Behr Ultra is great stuff. Where was it when I had my painting business!?

Thanks for all the help you guys!
I'm leaning towards Behr but I heard Ace Royal was nice quality too...
Anyone ever used it?

My husband found some oil based barn red paint at Mennards, no clue what the brand was but it covered much easier (if mixed well one coat works) than any latex paint and I'm suspecting it'll last a looooong time. Of course, it also took FOREVER to dry!

As an fyi... we painted a room inside using a Behr Latex in a shade of red, it took 4 coats even with the tinted primer, when we used shirwin williams paint (similiar color) took only 2 coats -- I'd def. pay the extra $$ for shirwin williams whenever using one of those more difficult colors, fewer coats = less paint used and less hours of labor!.

I use exteror Benjamin Moore Low Fume Semi gloss just for a bit of shine

Note: Low Fume & Semi Gloss are my terminology not theirs. Cannot remember what they call it

I'm going to re-paint my other coop with it becasue I like it so much

ETA: Yes my hardware store use to sell Ace Royal which is what my other coop was painted with. BM is much better!

I bought "opps" paint and mixed tham all in a 5G pail and went from there... Behr... CIL.... Sikkins (sp) all latex though

Home Depot has a Barn and Fence paint. It covers well and is only 12.99/gal. But it only comes in red and white. The red covered in 1 coat.

That's what we're using, the Behr Barn and Fence. The coop is red, and the trim will be white if it stops raining long enough to finish the job.

Are you sure the Sikkens paint was latex? When I first got out of high school I painted cars at a body shop and we used Sikkens but that was Polyeurethane paint for the automotive industry. I never heard of Sikkens for home use.
