Which "Pocket Pet" is best?

Ferrets can get many diseases. On Monday I had to put my 2nd ferret down for cancer. That dosent mean I wont get another ferret in the future but I hate all the heart ache.

I have had all 5 you listed. All 5, if u get a nice rat, I say rat..
But my rats bit..my friends never did..just mine for some reason.

Out of the 5... I say the ferret.. Even with their oils glands removed they still have a sent. But to me it's not bad.. All my ferrets have been awesome and so playful and so much fun..now cuddle bugs no,,but they will fall asleep on u. But none of the others listed were cuddle bugs either or as much fun as ferrets. This is my personal experience.

sorry about your baby.. but in all honesty from the hundreds of rats I have had over the years (and over 70 ferrets at one time.. yup.. I used to breed both).. the rats were more prone to health issues and were harder to find a good vet to treat them
