Which quail should i cull?

I hatched them lol. Unless there's some magical way to sex them in the egg I don't know about, I doubt there was any foul play. Just astounding bad luck lol.

I killed the two smaller ones and left the biggest. The first day he called a lot but he's pretty well quieted down now. Now I just have to wait a week for the eggs in my Bator to hatch. I'd love it if I got all females this time.

So eat all but one? I'm ok with that, the only thing I'm worried about is if that last one be *ok* alone. Like will being on his own stress him out too much?

Well, my jumbo brown roo flipped his lid this morning. Was attacking all the other quail, even attacking the dust bath box. I reached in to get him and he tried to attack me. Lol, made him very easy to catch.
Tomorrow a new quail joins freezer troop.

Sometimes they just snap. That is why it's always good to keep some back up roos.

Yup, now the back up is in, but I've yet to see him mount any of the hens. The back up is a speckled golden, so hopefully he gets the hang of it because they'd make pretty birds.
