From the colour I would say they are both roos.

Oh, and Saddle feathers are the long, pointy, shiny feathers a rooster gets on his back. Hackles are the same type of feather just on the neck.

I would guess at your boys age there those hackles and saddle feathers should start to come in now and you may find a few pinfeathers with pointy shiny feather growing out of them.

They look like BR roos to me. I have raised BR for a long time and the lighter colored ones that I have bought or hatched have always been roos. Keep the one with the best personality. I have never had one to be aggressive, but I had one that was extremely friendly.
