Thank you. As much as I've learned that I should make a decision about keeping or surrendering the suspected males before moving them to their coop, I'm going to wait to see how things go. None of my eight nearly ten week old chicks appears to be aggressive. The dominate suspected male seems to play the role of guardian and rounding everyone up at night. It's also the case that with this particular breed, in addition to the apparent reality that they are poorly bred, it is very difficult to differentiate a male from a female other than coloring. They are Salmon Faverolle. The males should be exhibiting black/white primary feathering, but they all look the same, other than that the females are much smaller and are friendly while the suspected males are very aloof. Maybe I'll get surprised and they'll all be hens, though not likely.
