Which Silkie rooster should I keep?

I agree with Nikki. Big difference in the wings of #1 & #2 compared to the others, which could even have split wings.

The only one I like is #2.

1 & 2 are definitely better birds; combs are too large and too red, but better shaped.

Wings are bad on 3, 4 & 5, and their plumage colour isn't really partridge--much too light. 1 & 2 are better coloured, and far more typey.

I'll reserve judgement on #3... in that pic he looks like he just lowered his wing towards a hen.

Wow. The responses here are interesting. Opinions sure do vary among different breeders! There are a couple I'd be more apt to listen to, just because of their experience, though.

Comb colour isn;t easy to deal with, but having one issue that needs work is a lot better than having a number of issues to deal with.

Kind of like selecting between a clothing article that needs a button sewn on rather than one that needs significant alterations.

If the only issue was comb colour, I'd say go for a darker coloured comb, even if its shape isn't as good. But since you'll be dealing with comb colour versus poor type, poor colour and bad wings, to me the choice seems to be pretty obvious.
