Still say duck brooders are worse than anything on this list - esp when they reach, like, 3 weeks old. At the end of the day. Right before the 2nd or 3rd cleaning. Dis. Gust. Ing.

I once forgot about a dog crate with soiled aspen shavings inside from my chicks. It rained in there, and the whole thing was about 4 inches deep in water. Moldy yellow soup. Every time the wind blew it’d unleash a fresh batch of horror. Paid a friend $20 to dump it for me

Yes, and don't forget the cold weather and rolling around in pain while delivering a calf because of the contractions.
