Looks like it would be pretty easy to just put that wire in the incubator. any thoughts?

First calibrate it. My cheap In/Out is 1.3F low at 99.5 .... so I deal with a known quantity.

Put the wired sensor in a water wiggler, and set the incubator to run a wiggler temp of 99.5F regardless of the air temp.

You should be good on that.

The probe isn't going to give you humidity inside the incubator. It's only for temperature on the cheap ones. Don't believe it, take in or out and see it change.

I heat largely with wood(yes it's still winter here) and the humidity in the house is around 15 to 20%. In the incubator it's much higher. I take the unit out and can watch the humidity drop. Put it back in and it goes up.

I have seen that the reptile thermometer is a bit more accurate than the springfield and reads quciker but dosnt have the humidity.
