Which type of Hardware Cloth

My guess is it's unlikely those would get through - they're strong, but small. But although I have some sort of weasel here (one was walking down my driveway) they've never tested my run fencing far as I can tell. Weasels are less diggers and more opportunists as far as trying to infiltrate underground, they follow burrowing rodents in through the holes they dig. So the goal is to prevent rats and such from digging in in the first place.

Vent coverings I'd be a little less worried about, especially if they're up high, mostly because the pest/predator would have to climb up to the opening, hang on, and chew/tear at the same time - just a little less likely to happen all at once like that.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, for the handyman, one side of the roof connects to the end of a storage container and a fence. So technically they could climb the fence, hop up on the storage container and get to the vents under the rafters of the roof. It's a closed-in lean-too shed with the back wall against the storage container.

Post some pics, inside and out, of areas of coop you are concerned about.

It is Texas.
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Yeah I never do that. Don't like it. However this discussion has made me remember that this forum is different than most. I know it's a factor but not at the forefront of my mind. That's one bit of advice I will follow.

It's important when you give advice that people know what environment you are in....
...as well as you knowing what environment you are giving advice for.
