I'm getting a full ,size chicken to grow with my bantys. I cant decide if Rhode island red pullet or a barred rock pullet is best. We want regular sized eggs. So when I get it they will all b about 4 weeks to start together.

We've had/have both the RIR and the BR's and love both breeds. If it were my decision, guess I would go with the BR just because the 2 we had were so sweet natured and got along with our other birds wonderfully. The RIR are a tiny (just tiny) bit more "clannish" and a bit more rambunctious. You can find a lot of information on this site looking at the breed reviews to get more opinions about the 2 you are considering.

I've found RIR to be the most aggressive birds in my flock. I'd go with the Barred Rock without a doubt. They tend to be very sweet and laid back.
