Which would you choose?

Easter eggers are typically flighty, in my experience. My current three are flighty but will come and sit in my lap, decent layers and have colored eggs, sometimes.Brahamas are a good, sweet bird.Orpington are great layers and super docile breed. So far my welsummers are flighty and nervous, but heard their great for eggs, first time raising the birds,I also heard their eggs are dark brown.

Hmm. Well.... I don't really know that I would consider them flighty, not like the Brown Leghorns I got at the same time certainly. But then I don't pick up my chickens or cuddle them, either. So it's okay with me if they stay at arm's length as I'm feeding or cleaning. They do come a-running at treat time (scratch) twice a day, and they don't freak out if I pick them up off their roosts after sunset. They follow DH when he mows, for the bugs, and they don't get in a hysterical flap if we walk through a cluster of them (like the BLs), so they are personable enough for us. Guess it's how you define flighty.
