I would pick the pig photo.

Skip the frogs, focus issues.


For the other photos, in photo editing software I would adjust the exposure to bring the color of the snow closer to white. Remember cameras expose for %18 gray. Snow is usually not 18% gray so we over exposure to compensate, just like a black cat is not 18% gray so we under expose to correct and make the cat more black. I would also look critically at if the subject is sharp. For animals, typically this means you want to see their eye sharp. Some times other parts of the animal might be what you are trying to show the viewer, in that case make sure that is sharp. But if the back ground, fore ground or something else is the sharpest point-then it might not do so well.

A lot depends on your fair and the number of entries. What might do well in a small fair will not do well in a big fair. If he still has time, I would suggest taking the camera and spending some time showing us a different angle on the animals/plants/items in your yard.
