Whispering Drake

My muscovy drake has no voice. It seems like he is trying really hard. Is this normal? I know that the boys are quieter then the girls, but is this to quiet. Should I be concerned that something else may be wrong??? He acts fine all the way around!!

i always thought drakes had no quack at all?

I've read that Muscovy drakes hiss but don't quack. Muscovy's are suppose to be some of the quietest ducks around. Good if you have near neighbors.

I don't have any but plan on getting some this spring and have been reading up on them. I'm excited!

I looked it up, he is fine!! They are the quackless ducks!! I love them!! I traded my friend 3 laying hens for 2 baby ducks this spring. I got lucky enough to get a pair!!!! I want to get a pair of turkeys next spring!! Oh yeah, goats rule!!! I got one wether, Drexall. He thinks he is a dog. We live on the end of a dead end road so he just runs free, he's the king of the ridge!!!
