A few days back we had our hen hatch some eggs. All babies are healthy. Getting fat and happy.

Today, I just happened to inspect one of the chicks as per routine, and noticed her wings were...... Sharp.

At first I thought they were feather shafts, she is getting some feathering in.

But when I looked closely, she actually has wing claws. Two on each wing. One at the tips, and one a little further up towards the middle of the "arm" of the wing.

Anyone know about this happening, is it rare??

Never have any of our other chickens had this before. Is it common in either the Copper Maran or Americauna side?

Thanks!
