My mother-in-law informed me that she read in a magazine that nutritions wise there isn't a difference in the brown and white eggs. Is this true? It doesn't really matter to me but I would like to know the facts in case I am asked in the future.

I guess she won't be begging for eggs when they start laying.

The only difference is the shell color. They are the same inside. My Dh always thought brown eggs were better too. Really no difference once you crack em open!

I AM GLAD TO HEAR THAT SOMEONE ELSE SAY'S THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.
MY FATHER-IN-LAW SEEMS TO THINK THERE IS. WHEN I TOLD HIM IT'S ALL IN PREFERENCE HE WAS LIKE OH NO THEY ARE HEALTHIER FOR YOU. WHAT A BUNCH OF BUNK.

Do you remember back in the early 80's people began believing that brown eggs had less cholesterol than the store bought white eggs? I remember my mother (who sold her extra eggs at her antique shop) eggs were all sold out by noon each morning because everyone wanted her brown eggs.

Now, I am pretty sure scientifically that they are just the same. Except store bought eggs lack taste!!
