White Araucana Chick now 10 weeks old is it a roo or hen? updated pics

It looks like an auracana to me. And it is true about the standards. it depends where you live, how the birds look like. Not all auracana looks the same.
And I think that it is a pullet. is it a bantam and how old. Is she red because she is at a mature age?
The only thing to do is wait until she crows and rehome him then but I would not give it away yet.
They some times act like roo but their not and will surprise you with an egg.
And if it is an EE, the girls can get big tails too. mine did and it was a she., she lay pretty blue eggs and big ones too.

It's only 9 weeks old (if you read more carefully
tongue.png
). That's why i don't think it could be a pullet. It's to red for it's age.

THis is a Lavender Araucana roo
He was alot more Obvious as it was bright red and his behaviour and crowing started before 7 weeks

Im more confused with the white one as hes not as red and do white hens show redder? also due to colouring
Hes very timid and smaller than my other araucanas
Im gonna hold on until Im sure but will keep updating pics
thanks

Yes, I have a roo that didn't start crowing and SHOWING that he really was a roo (started grow sickle and saddle feathers, acting like a roo) untill he was 7-8 months old! :O And another one started crowing and tried to mature with his mother when it only was 5 weeks old. ;D So it can be very diffrent from "bird to bird" how they develop.

In New Zealand, that IS indeed an araucana. Breeds are different in different parts of the world.

O, and I think it's a roo.

How true, but the profile information shown did not say she was in New Zealand. (NOW, I see -nz appended to her username.)

Yea Im in New Zealand
Just worked out how to add that
He came from a blue egg and araucanas do look different here
Im starting to really think hes a roo as picked hiim up 2nite and reackon I can feel the start of spurs on his legs
And its looking redder
Hes still not as Dominant as the Faverolle Rooster I have who goes to his home next week so maybe thats why.
I would like to say hes a pullet as want to keep as such a beautiful chicken
Do Pullets get bumps where spurs grow?
its just a bump at the moment
Will keep you posted thanks for all the replies
