Hi, I have 2 isa brown chickens, one does have an issue from time to time with White banded egg. Calcium coated egg to Speckled eggs.
"These eggs are the result of two eggs entering and making contact with each other in the shell gland pouch"
On those days she might lay a White banded egg. Calcium coated egg in most places other than nesting box and then after that a time later she sometimes lays a wet yolk and clear membrane no eggshell. my two are spoilt rotten and get the right nutrition. On those days near when they go back into their coop around dusk, she become a bit slow and not full of beans like the other. The next day when she has layed her normal egg she is back to normal. Is it the two eggs entering the shell gland pouch in effect egg bound until she get rid of them?

They get feed nutritional pallets were they live, seed mix, calcium and treats like grapes, sultanas. plus they are out all day scratching for bugs

How old are they? 1 year old just.
The other bird has no egg issues, no issues
