I've got a bantam white cochin boy who's around 2 years old and looking for some new digs! He'd be ideal for someone free ranging hens on an acreage who just needs a boy to defend the girls against predators.
He's a bit aggressive, great for protection but definitely not ideal for a backyard unless you're a rooster whisperer. He does disengage when you stand still for a bit.
I'm really trying to find an alternative to putting him down. He was part of our very first chicks and so he's got a special place in our hearts, even if we don't have one in his. I would much prefer for him to leave this world doing his duty on the range rather than being euthanized and tossed.
