For treatment you'll want a dewormer, I don't know which ones so I'll tag the experts.Suggestions on best treatment?
Do they move?Hey chicken folks,
Anyone know what these white-ish beads are? Am I looking at a worm situation?
Nope they are not moving or anything. I have sand on our property and they free range a lot during the dayDo they move?
Are they hard?
Looks like polished stones that have gone through the gizzard. Do you have sand in your run?
You can not see worm eggs with the naked eye, only under a microscope.
They are not hard either. Kinda smash when you squish themNope they are not moving or anything. I have sand on our property and they free range a lot during the day
Thank you @Eggcessive. I will give that a tryI would try to get your regular vet to run a fecal float to see if they are worm eggs and what type. It could be something else. Valbazen is very good, and dosage is 1/2 ml for an average chicken given once orally, and repeated in 10 days. That gets round worms, cecal, capillary, and gapeworms.
SafeGuard is also good.
