White boxers?

yes AKC will IF you can provide a 5 generation pedigree that they can trace back to AKC,,isnt that what I said in my last post?..how do I know,,because I just sold a male min pin I had to my friend and he went with APRI papers..I orderd a pedigree from APRI for her,,she sent it in to AKC with whatever other paperwork they request and TADAAA!!!,,he has AKC papers, regular full rights for breeding and showing AKC papers,,,

I had never heard of this, but the AKC confirms it's true! From the horse's mouth: "AKC has a new program where we are researching pedigrees of dogs that do not have AKC paperwork to determine if the dog comes from AKC registrable stock.

In order to determine AKC registration eligibility, you will need to send AKC a copy of your dog’s pedigree, registration application and/or registration certificate from another registry. You can also submit documentation provided by the breeder such as a contract or bill of sale. The dog may qualify for registration if the pedigree shows no break in AKC lineage and the dogs in the pedigree originate from AKC registrable stock."

You
might notice that they're also not pulling registrations for false report of parenthood, either - the dog gets a "conditional" registration, as do 3 generations of its offspring. Once the 3 generations are up, the "conditional" part goes away.

I personally don't have a huge issue with either loophole and I think the first one is especially fair, but I also have crazy ideas about backcrossing that don't fit well into closed stud books. ;D Some of my dogs are AKC, but I don't intend to work especially hard to stay under the registry's banner.

lol, im with you, as much as i like my dogs to confirm to standard, and i like myself and other breeders to do something with, and health test their dogs as well...
the AKC...well...i have my issues with some of the practices as a whole.

there just a record keeping system though...
its the PEOPLE involved that are the problem...

I wasnt sure if the white in boxers was the same as the lethal in other breeds, good to know it isnt. i think whites are beautiful as long as its not effecting health.
