It has been a bit of a ride. We got 40 Chantecler chicks from a local hatchery about 9 1/2 weeks ago. They were day olds. Lost one the second day. Everyone happy and healthy until three days ago lost 4 to, what I believe is Coccidiosis. They are back on a med feed and amporol to treat the flock. So we have 35 now and 5 of which are in critical care isolation And on the MEND! :) .
I have often come to this site for advice on their journey. I thought it time to join officially.

I am sorry you lost some!

There are some very good articles on here for treating coccidiosis

Thanks for linking @Folly's place .

Where are you? From your mentions of " back on a med feed and amporol" I guess US somewhere.

I would be very appreciative of information about how you detected and decided it was Coccidiosis? Specifics on how you are treating them and results also appreciated. Any thoughts/comments on Chanties solicited...
