White Chinese geese and egg laying???

hey everyone! As you know my boyfriend and I have two white Chinese geese that are two going on three months old. We are wondering what age the females start to lay? Because we are waiting to see what gender they both are. He wants girls. So when do they usually start laying???

You shouldn't see eggs until next spring. If you have one male and one female you will start seeing differences in the next 2 months.

I'd say male front and female in the back but still a little young. The male will have the bigger knob, longer neck, bigger body, bigger body language, more opinionated... Typical guy.

They *may* start laying in late winter/ early spring. I'm no expert, but I believe behaviors are your best guide to determine gender at this age. Males are very protective of their flock. Also, white Chinese develop knobs on their heads, with the male having larger, more pronounced knobs.

It's just hard to tell cause we have only two and don't know either of their genders so we have no comparison

That's good. Seems like the ganders have the more outgoing personalities so I'd always want a pair.
