Miconazole cream is sold at most grocery and drug stores. I bought the generic version at Walmart for my flock.If the spots do not become tan or brown, then I would treat for favus, a fungal infection with miconazole cream applied daily. Here is what a very bad case of favus looks like with chaulky white material on face, combs, wattles:
