Thank you! I am pleased with the birds and the progress made. Tail sets are a bit high, and shanks a bit longer than Id like. But over all Im very happy with their "Type and Bone"..... They have very good size and fast growth for a heritage breed. Huge legs, full breasts, and good heads too. I live in Kansas and we have managed to weather winter good so far....No frost bite or losses at all, even with -10 with strong winds.... It got above freezing for the first time in a week today. Seemed really nice at 40 degs... Im tired of keeping water thawed to all those pens. Well, I'm crossing my fingers in hope of a early spring!! Then it all starts over again..... ;-)
Well its that time of the year and we'll be looking for those first eggs of the year soon. I set my first test hatch from the white cornish pens march 8th last year. I have three breeding pen set up again this year, of 4 pullets each. I have one pen I held over from last year, the rest are pullets and cockerels. The cockerels are starting to do their breeding dances but dont have much "game" as of yet ;-)... I have high hopes of hatching a truck load of these this year. Get my brooders full first and foremost. Maybe sell a few chicks/eggs too.
Every year some bandits show up on ebay with poor stock and sell them for stupid high prices..... Always makes my sphincter clinch seeing this quality of stock being sold at extreme prices.... scroll down and the auction can still be seen for a while....

He has sold at least 3 "Buy it now" auctions at this point using the same pix and description. It does not appear that any one has left feedback say'n they actually received any eggs yet thou... The highest white Cornish eggs Iv seen sell on eBay were $455
a dozen several years ago... quite a few above $350 a dozen.... They appeared to be much better stock from a seller with a trackable history. I have bid on several above $300 but the highest Iv ever actually won was $212 a dozen. He sent 24 eggs, 3 hatched..... Cornish eggs are famous for not shipping well...
