The REAL reason I didn't use the PVC..... It perturbs me to NO end that it no longer comes in 20' stalks. Seems like yesterday I could buy it 20'at a time!!

I think that I can convince my parents to get some cornish cross at least. I have an argument and hope that it will work. If not, then I am going to die.

Then hopefully, I can convince them to let me keep at least one roo and one hen so that we don't have to buy more chicks next year!
Or even better, get the chicks now, from a hatchery if not from a feed store. let them grow, and hatch out replacements for the next year and eat all extras, leaving just enough to restock the next year. I would love that!

I might convince them to get me some cornish, if so, then they will be dark cornish from murray mcmurray hatchery. If not, then maybe some turkeys instead; rumor is that my dad would prefer that i did turkeys first.

I am planning on using pallets for the coop and solar powered electric poultry netting. I will stuff the inside of the pallets with straw and then block up the gaps so that my coop is insulated. Hopefully I can add wheels and be able to move the coup every now and then to some fresh vegetation.
