White cortunix eggs

Looks like your egg just missed the coturnix color shop. I love to hatch them because it makes them easier to candle.

Hey JJ is there any way to breed for the trait of white eggs that miss the paint? or is it random and not something you can work on?
I'd love to get the no paint eggs since they are easy to candle and some people like white eggs only

Any Are Capable Of It, Many Call It A Sign Of Stress But I Have Seen Hens Hunker Down And Shoot Eggs Out While I Am Feeding Just So They Didnt Miss The Main Course

I Suppose If You Have 1 Or 2 That Do It All The Time Then You Could Try To Isolate It And Capitalize On It.... Just Not Sure If Thats Something You Really Want To Do As If They Do It All The Time It Would Be A Sign Of Something Incorrect Or Abnormal Within The Hen And May Be A Undesireable Trait To Try To Capitalize On...

MAY I RECOMMEND BOBS OR VALLEYS? THEY ARE ABOUT THE EASIEST QUAIL SPECES TO CANDLE

Ahh But I love my Coturnix

I am a urban farmer so Bob's or Valleys would take up to much of my critter space I think. I'll just have to settle for the spotted eggs

I have some friends who refuse to even try quail eggs for eating... they are tweeked by the size and color... I thought if I could get white or no paint eggs they might try them.. so no worries I'll not try and breed for white eggs then.

All You Could Do Is Try It And See... Shouldnt Be Too Hard If Its An Isolateable Trait... Just Get The Hens To Start With Then Start Hatching And Selectively Breeding To See If You Can Reproduce Those Traits In The Following Generations....

Or Maybe Just Scare Your Existing Girls Everytime They're About To Lay

hard to scare em since they also just jump into my lap....
The boys on the other hand freak when I reach in.. they are afraid to get taken away from the girls. But scaring them does no good
