I have been raising quail for some time now I have Italian Tibetan brown sand tuxedo I have had a few hatches come out with white chicks and they only have a black spot of feathers now so have I made a&ms I'm lost? All the birds I have been breeding are from different breeders in my area no inbreeding so please help me solve the mystery

I'm guessing you've got texas a&m.
They're pretty much the same as a&m's except with small black/brown blotches.

The white can be a hidden gene from past generations.
I had three roux dilutes, and their chicks turned out to be (out of 11 chicks): three browns, two whites, three silvery whites, and three roux dilutes.
I was really surprised.
