Thanks everyone! I am loving having them. Am a bit bummed she might be a he as I live in the city and can't really have a rooster. We'll see how it goes! S/he is awesome though- really super sweet and extra curious.
I might post some pics of our 2 other polish (a buff and a golden) and see what people think! You all are good!

That would be great! The rooster-y looking one has started to stand over all 'his/her girls' when they are all piled up resting..... and makes she s/he is the last one in the coop...

I know this thread is now nearly 2 months old, but I have the same question about my chicks. The thing is, growandresists's (the original poster) pics are showing. I have 3 that are now 12 weeks old. None of the three have wattles. Tophat is mostly poofy and no "toothpicks" growing out. One of you had replied that at 6 weeks yours had distinctive wattles - mine don't at 12 weeks. I can post pics in a bit, but if anyone has a response now, that would be great! Thanks!

Growandresist,
I have tried opening the pictures in different internet browsers and I am having no luck viewing them. From the description is sounds like you have them side by side which would be helpful to see. If not too much trouble could you please post again or send me a message through BYC with them attached?

I just bought a polish chick and am too wondering whether it is a pullet or cockerel. Mine likes to dart at me when I open the coop leading me to think it is male. It's face does look similar to the cockerel that Leblackbird posted.

If you can see their eyes are the roos are they hens if you cannot see their eyes when they are looking at you.
