Got 6 eggs coming in the next few days, after our recent bad luck with quail eggs, is there any advice anyone can give so we aren't trying to incubate non viable eggs.

Thankyou, 8 days I did quail eggs at 14, very nervous never hatched anything accept quail before

shipped eggs ? Let them sit for 24 hrs before you start incubating . Polish eggs are easier to candle and I can normally see veining on day 3 but always wait til day 10 before tossing any. I think the chicken eggs will be easier then quail.

I hope so, we had to water candle the button quail eggs couldn't see through them.
Sorry for all the questions, first time doing chooks, what size pen would you recommend for these gorgeous birds, it will have a solid roof as the local cats are partial to live meat if you know what I mean
