White Egg Layer Breed Question

We currently have 3 big-bodied brown egg-layers and a fairly low (48") fence that keeps them in their run. We'd like to add a white egg layer, but it seems that white egg-layers are more likely to fly. We'd love to get Hamburgs or similarly small-bodied breeds.

Am I over-thinking this or are small bodied white egg layers going to jump right over our fence?

Most likely they will.
You can clip a wing on one side that might help, but I've seen fence climmers too.
I build my fences about 6' and sometimes put a top on it ( netting) that helps keep them in and other critters out.

We have lots of white egg layers, but keep all of our chickens in coops with enclosed runs...mostly to keep predators out but it also keeps them in
