White Face Black Spanish

I have WFBS bantams and I love them. They're just so darn pretty! My rooster's name is Cortez too! I have to get some good pictures of them. Maybe once it gets nicer out. Cortez is drop dead gorgeous!!!!

Thanks! I checked his website & he doesn't have any available. Nobody ever does, even the hatcheries that supposedly carry them. Alllllll last spring/summer and so far this year, I check the hatcheries regularly as well as looking for breeders, etc. Nobody ever has them. If anybody here has any information regarding contact information for WFBS keepers/breeders in northern California, that would be SO awesome.

I cannot get my hands on either WFBS or minorcas to save my life. Maybe I'm not meant to have either of those breeds. ::sigh::

I just got a response e-mail from Lund Poultry! I am so happy I could spit! They do have WFBS eggs available for me to order! Their website says they're not available, but I sent them an e-mail just in case. Sure enough, they have them and I'll be ordering them to place in the bator for the Easter hatch-along.

Hello, this it Terry with Lund Poultry and we do have both LF and Bantam WFBS we do sell chicks and eggs from both, but we are building up our stock of Bantams and will not have any at this time offered. We will have eggs to ship of the LF and also chicks once everything warms up and they are back on track with egg laying. Email through our website www.lundpoultry.com or [email protected] Some photos are on our website as well.

Only two pics posted so far. This breed must be rarer than I thought.

I'm getting my new additions from a local breeder. For those looking for them, and don't mind hatchery stock, I know that Ideal currently has them available. The WFBS in the pic I posted is from Ideal.

To HHandbasket -- Here in Oakland, a fellow named Jeremy sold me a Minorca hen just last month. I don't know if he's got more, but if you're really set on getting some, it couldn't hurt to ask him. Hop over to the Bay Area thread and you'll see him there. I named the little hen Hunca Munca, and she's rapidly becoming my new favorite of the flock!

And to RThomas -- That's a great photo. I've never seen one of these birds before.
