White faced whistling duck info

I don't even want to rejoin the conversation. Dylan duck, go over to the "pheasants & partridge" forum here on BYC and just look at a few posts and it becomes apparent very quickly. I also invite you to visit my pheasant page at http://www.gbwf.org/pheasants/index.html Throughout the pheasant page are the various species of pheasants and each with link to other sites as well and recommended books. Please follow through on some of those.

had one land in the garden yesterday made the chickens bunch together, then they ran and hid in the compost heap when it approached. also seems to upset the goose, who either changes direction when it approaches or hisses viciously at it, ""the little bantam wont be worried" i said to my nephew and was later seen pecking the duck as it went near her chicks, very interesting to watch the suspicious glances from our birds, but personally, i think the duck is just looking for company. today, even though they still dont know what to make of this little duck, things do seem more relaxed. and its mostly seen following the goose,

anyone speculate on its sex? saw a photo of a bird not so bright and others with colours like this so im assuming its male? as they are reported to be brighter in colour and the female duller,

checked to see where it was tonight and found it in with our broody bantam and 4 chicks, it managed to squeeze through a 3" gap which even the bantam cock cant get through
