White foamy substance in chicks mouth

It doesn’t matter, he didn’t make it, I held him till he passed away this morning. But thank you for responding, like I said this is my first time and I didn’t know what to do so this was a difficult loss
Im so sorry for the lost, :( But i bet most of it was because of assisted helping, not that that was fully bad, but sometimes chicks need to hatch themselves, and if they didnt make it it was usually for a reason. I think it was a few other things to though

We had opened the incubator to pull some other chicks that were in there for over 48 hours out and we hadn’t realized that one has pipped, when we did, I left it there for another two days but it didn’t move and it was tan around the Pipping area so I made the choice to try help it figuring it was stuck and he pulled through, but I will try hold off longer next time, thank you for all your help

I will remember this for next time, we never intended to hurt it, it’s feathers hadn’t come up and it was in the incubator for over 48 hours so figured it would start getting hungry soon, so I took it out and fed it, it was eating fine but it’s feathers were all stuck down, so we took some Q tips and very gently cleaned up his feathers and put him in front of a heater to make sure he didn’t get cold. After that he wouldn’t eat or drink so I carefully dipped his beak in some electrolyte water, I even tried giving it some egg yolk. It just wasn’t meant to be and I just hope that I wasn’t the total cause of it passing away
The majority of the time, and I mean like nine and a half times out of 10, a chick can't get out of the shell on its own... Something's wrong with it.

Before you incubate again make sure that you have calibrated thermometers and assault-tested humidity gauge.

There are some things that are out of your control when it comes to incubating but you can control the humidity and the temperature and those two things are important.

Alright, you did good. But for next time when you see a egg in there and your helping others out try to spray the egg with luke warm water to make sure the sack doesnt shrink on it, and no problem im glad i could help a bit.

Also for next time...
The sooner the chicks have access to feed and water the better.

Just because they can stay in the incubator doesn't mean that it's better for them too.

👎👎👎👎. Never ever put water on an egg in the incubator... Never. It draws out more moisture and makes things worse.

Well next time I incubate eggs I will be sure to do everything you mentioned and I will come here immediately for help if anything goes wrong. Thank you so much this is so helpful. All this new information. I was kind of just told to make sure the humidity was above 50 and the temp above 37 and that’s all. I read the manual but of course that probably wasn’t very helpful so I will come here’s thank you
