My chicken has a white substance the texture of tofu in her throat over the opening to her trachea. We have have treated for sour crop and as that did not do anything we have been treating for a yeast infection for the last few weeks and she was doing good when she was with 3 chicks but when i added in some former flock mates it did not go well . she is isolated again and is going down hill any ideas?

Does the beak have a bad odor? Canker is usually yellowish and has a rotten odor. It can invade the crop wall and esophagus, as well as the throat and beak. A yeast infection from fungus could look more cream colored or white, and might go with sour crop. Wet fowl pox also can cause yellowish lesions inside the beak and throat. Have you had any fowl pox in the flock?

No fowl pox. It does have a bad odor and is yellowish. I think its canker what would you do about it ?
