Hi! I bought some Jumbo Coturnix eggs last year and hatched some lovely brown quail. They started laying and I incubated several groups of their eggs.
First and second group hatched all browns. Third group was a surprise and are all whites. Fourth group are more browns.
The whites are just the most beautiful quail!
I noticed one of the adult males has a couple of white feathers on his wing --- does that mean he is responsible for the all-white youngsters? None of the adult females have any white markings I can see.

Thanks!

It means that someone (lots of someones or all of them maybe) carry the white (A&M?) gene. I had a white roo over brown hens and was hatching reds, red goldens and all kinds of weird colors. One of my hens also had the white feathers on her wing.
