I am not sure if I have posted this in the right place. If I didn't sorry.
I have 6 White legs horns they all seem to have floppy combs. Is this normal. I new to chickens and not sure. My girls are 19 weeks old.
Thank you,
Carol
Floppy combs are typical of the Leghorn breed, especially among Leghorn hens. If your chickens are eating well and otherwise acting normal (as normal as chickens can be!
I have one leghorn. Not sure of her exact age as I got her as an older bird. She is under a year. Anyway, she also has a floppy comb or "hairdoo" as my daughter says. She is still laying smallish eggs so I was wondering if her comb would stand up as she got older. I could try some hair gel-hmmmm....
That paints a pretty picture of me running around the yard with a can of gel chasing a leghorn.
