I have a white leghorn that is driving me crazy. She sleeps on the nest, stays the whole morning and goes out for the whole afternoon. She picked a nest away from the other hens, made the nest herself, and is up to 13 eggs. Is she broody? Please help

By the way this is my very first post. I am Ernesto from Miami and I love my flock!!!

Welcome! Leghorns have single combs usually. There are rose combed varieties, but I didn't think they came in white. Anyone know?
Hens go broody because they feel the need to do it, so there's no reason that a rare individual in a 'non-broody' breed might not do it too.

it would help but to leave it all afternoon is not good broody either
Looks like the OP is in Miami. In hot climates, it's not unusual for a broody hen to be off the nest for a few hours in the afternoon. Otherwise the eggs kind of cook.
Trust me, I know - I've had it happen a few times :sick
