white leghorn hens and splash orpinton rooster cross.

I have recently hatched several chicks that were the product of white leghorn hens and a splash orpinton rooster. What should I expect in their egg color when the start laying. Will theh be fuller bodied but still great layers? Anyone had this cross willing to share what they experienced?

a light brown. white and brown would make like a creamy color. Far as i know.

I think you'll have creamy/beige eggs.
I've not made this cross, but I had a brown leghorn roo over mixed heavy breed hens and had good layers from the cross.

Thanks for the info. I sell eggs at a local farmers mafket and a lkt of people just dont want the white eggs. Hoping these will indeed be a light shade of brown. Cute looking chicks mostlt white with black specks all over so far.
