White! Leghorn, Rock, or Cornish?

2-3 weeks. All of mine except the Sussex have had chest feathers showing at three weeks so I'd guess closer to two. Too early to tell gender or breed. It's not likely a meatie because you'd notice the growth rate but it could be lots of other breeds or a production hybrid or even your everyday barnyard mix.

You'll be able to tell for sure if it's a leghorn or rock when they start to develop earlobes. Rocks have red earlobes, and leghorns do not. Hope that helps. My white chicks are five weeks old, and just starting to develop earlobes.

Do you have other chicks to compare it to? Cornish Rocks are huge compared to other breeds, even at a week old. If this was a feed store purchase, my guess would be Leghorn. The feed stores around here seem to stock more common breeds and colors such as barred Rocks instead of the other colors and known egg layers. :)

It's about the same size as others we have except one which I think is older. So I guess that rules out the Cornish rock, thanks! I did get it at a feed store but I also got a sicilian buttercup there. Still don't know the sex of any of my chicks.
