I’m really not sure honestly. I just went and picked up 9 golden comet hens and him the other day and the guy didn’t tell me how old he is but the hens are about 2 years old. I have 30 other chicks but they are all still young and won’t be laying for months so I got a good deal and went and got them. He is very feisty with the hens though so I’m not even sure I’ll keep him. I may separate him.Ms ChickyMama, how old is your Brahma roo? I have 2 teenaged girls who are nearly as tall as the Barred Rock hens they are eventually going to join. The interwebz say the Brahmas can take even up to a year or so to reach full size and I'm crawling out of my skin with excitement to see how big they get!
