White patches!?

Can anyone help me figure out what this is? Behavior is normal. Eating, drinking and being a normal chicken. Approximately 1 year old in March. Developed swollen white patches a few weeks ago. Any suggestions on what this could be? Any help is appreciated! We live in WV.

Probably a fungus...can't really see any swelling, pics are not clear enough, or my eyes are too old.
Have seen this crop up and then go away....I'd not be concerned unless swelling increases or patch grows very large.

Favus (a fungal infection) might be a possibility which can be treated with antifungal creams such as miconazole or clotrimazole. I have also seen peck marks from fighting turn from black to white or tan.
