Between the muff, the feathers by her beak, and her crown, she is mostly blind. Honestly, she’s not a good fit for my flock. I have done a lot of feather trimming around her eyes and that has helped immensely.

awww poor thing. I have to trim my frizzle polish but luckily her muffs don't obscure her view as much as yours does. She is a feisty little chook nonetheless. Always bossing the others about!

She's so cute! Is she the only Crevecouer in your flock? Our pullet is slow-moving (probably because she can't see well) and will probably be near the bottom of the pecking order, but luckily the cockerel is pretty feisty and makes sure she gets treats/hangs out with her. I imagine she wouldn't be very happy as the only one of her breed in our flock. We also had four Polish chicks that the other chicks almost pecked to death, so I think the Crevecouers can be at least less likely to get picked on than Polish.

Is she the only Crevecouer in your flock?

Unfortunately, yes. She is definitely at the very bottom of the pecking order. In some ways that’s good because I don’t see anybody picking on her. Obviously she has been in the past, to be at the bottom, but hopefully not so much anymore.

I was told and have seen through experience that Crevecoeurs don't get picked on as much as Silkies or Polish do. So hopefully she's be at the bottom of the pecking order, but still not get bullied.
